I don't post that often, I know. Mostly because I don't have anything to say, since I usually just work, go home, read fic, and go to bed. But I thought I could maybe post about the random fandoms I've been hopping through. There is, of course, no obligation to check out my posts. It'll be a lot of anime, some Korean webnovels-turned-comics, Dresden Files, etc. I just think it'd be fun 😂

I'll tag everything with 'fannish-fifty' and put it in the title so you know to scroll on by :D

I'm doing this as well. I'm trying to remind myself it's meant to be fun. I've done one post so far, 2 more planned. I'll be interested in you posts about the Dresden Files, which I only know through fandom. Never seen the show or read the books but I like the fanfic.

I pretty much concentrate on RPS these days so suspect there won't be much interest on my flist for that buy hey ho :D

I'm going to admit, most of my Dresden Files babbling will PROBABLY be about my ship. Lots of cool stuff happen in general in that series though, especially in the later books. I had no idea you read fic for that fandom, that's awesome! I've only seen part of the show, and it wasn't very similar to the books at all...

I'll read your posts! Not sure if I'll know the ship you're talking about though... but I have my own RPS ships.

I think I've been reading the fic for about 6 years but without the wonderful rec communities that we used to have on LJ its difficult to know what to read, so any fic recs are welcome. Because I haven't read the books (I did try but couldn't get into them), or watch the TV show I'm pretty open to ships. The only thing I rarely read is het but I love a long gen fic as well.

I can absolutely rec you some DF fic - and I can try to focus on fics that won't be too confusing for someone who hasn't read the books...and answer any questions if you do end up confused 😂 Dresden Files is one of those fandoms that is TINY though, so not all fic will be AMAZINGLY written. Desperate times, desperate measures, etc.

Oh, Dresden Files. I want to get into that -- one of my fave due South fics is a crossover series that crosses with Dresden Files.

I ADORE The Dresden Files. It does have some problematic stuff - the author isn't great about LGBT characters (as in women are allowed to be bisexual and everyone else is just straight) and sometimes it's views on women can be rough. But the series gets better as it goes, and the fic *chefs kiss* I know quite a few people who read fic in the fandom but haven't read any of the books, or read just the first couple...

Sure, I'll link you to that fic as soon as I get on my laptop (currently on smartphone). How are you on due South canon? You don't need to know the canon to enjoy the crossover, but deffo a more enjoyable read if you do know canon Ray Kowalski.
