My spring break is almost over T_T
1. A favorite book!
Just one?
Sorry, I can't choose just one!
2. A book that affected you in your YA years.
Definitely harry potter. HP was what got me into fandom, into fanfiction. If I was asked about my early life, there was no way I could not mention harry potter.
3. A favorite fantasy novel.
Fantasy's my favorite genre, so choosing on specific novel is hard. It changes at any given moment, you see. But for the sake of answering a question, I'm going to go with the discworld series. It makes me laugh :)
4. A favorite sci fi novel.
The only one that comes to mind is the special agent pendergast series by douglas preston and lincoln child.
5. An awesome book (possibly a favorite) you think not many people around you have heard of/read.
the walker papers. Nobody has read that book T_T But it's fine, I'll fangirl about it on my own.
6. A book you own more than one copy of.
Haha, the chronicles of chrestomanci by diana wayne jones, but the only reason I have more than one book of that was because of a mistake.
7. An author whose every single book you own/will buy.
I'm pretty choosy about which books I buy, so...nobody. I have authors I like, but that doesn't mean I'll like every single book they ever wrote.
8. The worst book you've ever read.
lord of the rings. It's a classic, I know. But it was boring and too description-heavy. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep several times while reading it, and that never happens to me.
9. A book you dislike that lots of other people you know like.
As boring an answer as it is, twilight. Sadly, people whose taste in books I respected has gotten into twilight, it makes me so sad. Luckily, I also have friends that dislike the books, so I'm not forced to constantly listen to how good it is. >.<
10. The most difficult book you've ever read.
emma by...Jane Austen, I think. I hated the character Emma, so I had to force myself through the book.
11. Tell me what kind of books your mom reads/read.
The kind of books written by Stephen King and Clive Barker. Horror novels, creepy and twisted plots....she's the reason I like those books, actually. XDD
12. What have you read so far this year?
-- the walker papers by c.e. murphy (re-read)
-- black dagger brotherhood by j.r. ward
-- thirteen reasons why by jay asher
-- war for the oaks by emma bull
-- earth, my butt, and other big round things by carolyn mackler
-- daddy long legs by jean webster (re-read)
-- a dirty job by christopher moore
-- working for the devil (Dante Valentine series book 1) by lilith saintcrow
-- the mercy thompson series by patricia briggs (re-read)
13. What are you reading now?
the adrien english series by Josh Lanyon. I LOVE THIS SERIES. And it certainly helps that the main character is a good-looking, likable, gay man. XD
14. What are you reading next?
-- xanth series by piers anthony
-- the princess bride by william goldman
-- the discworld series by terry pratchett (re-read)
*EDIT* I just finished the "Adrien English Mysteries" series, and I WANT MORE. I'm addicted to that series, but I don't think any more books are out. D: D: D:

Date: 2009-03-15 03:18 am (UTC)HE IS, OMG. He's smart and sarcastic and I really like his love interest, Jake (even if he can be a bit of an ass sometimes).
I haven't even seen The Princess Bride film D: I hope the book is just as good...
Um, I actually have all three (Discworld, Adrien English, The Princess Bride) in ebook format. So, if you really want to read some of them, I could e-mail them to you. But if you don't want to, it's fine! Some people don't like ebooks. I do, because it helps me figure out if I like the book enough to buy it XDD

you haven't? you should, though, it's great! :D and EEEEEEEEEEEP REALLY OMG REALLY? I WANNA READ 'EM ALL. xD; that'd be wonderful ♥ to be honest, i don't know much about ebooks, i hardly even know what they are, lolol, butbutbut. that sounds great! would i need anything special for them? or can i just open them and read them on the computer? but seriously, that'd be wonderful, because i doubt i'm gonna be able to buy them anytime in the near future, so. :DD

Date: 2009-03-16 01:43 am (UTC)Really? That makes me more determined to watch SGA.^_______^ He's amazing! I wish you would. Then we could fangirl together XD
I think I might check TVShack for it, and if not then I'll just read the book first. REALLY REALLY XDDDDD. Um, the Discworld & Princess Bride files are in .pdf format --- can your computer read those? As for the Adrien English, my computer couldn't recognize what type of file they were, so I just went to "file > open with" and read them as .pdf's. It's also possible to read them as .html files...does that sound alright to you? If you run into problems, you can just PM me. I should warn you, too. Some of the Adrien English files were corrupted, so for the first two books question marks take the place of dialogue signs. So it looks something like, ?Don't touch the body!?
If you still want them, I'll upload them to mediafire and send you the links!

:D if you've seen, idk, like robin hood: men in tights you'll know how well cary elwes plays the cracky roles, and he's just awesome as westley. xDD; yep, my computer can read .pdf files, so it's all good. :D and that's alright, the bit about the adrien english files, i'm sort of used to it since some potter fanfic sites keep messing with the quotation marks, too, so. :D
SO GIMME GIMME GIMME, AND ILU. ♥ :DD
