5) Who said it had to be one? >8D *coughthreesomecough*
15) I can imagine Doumeki only being with Watanuki because of the FOOD. XD
16) Yar... Yuuko/Watanuki is like a Mother/Son relationship.

5. The character I would shag anytime: Just one?! lol Ohhh, I don't know. It's a tie between Doumeki and Watanuki. How could I choose?

It would be Haruka-sexy-san for me. That smile, that smile!! I swear, I fangirl-squeal every time he shows up, either in the manga or the anime. *_*
...Although it would have a bit of an icky factor, because that would make me Doumeki's step-grandmother, or something... >_<

7. The character I'd slap: Kohane-chan's mother.

I agree, I agree!! When she threw the tea to Watanuki's beautiful face... and then when she started hitting Watanuki... I swear I started snarling and screaming obscenities to the screen. :P

15. What are your five favourite pairings? Doumeki/Watanuki, Doumeki/Bentou (lol)

Well, that merited my use of this icon. XD
Pity I don't have a higher quality of it. >_<

13. Who are your five favourite characters? Watanuki, Doumeki, Yuuko, Mokona, Mugetsu.

Yay! the same as me! ...though I'd probably replace Mokona by Zashiki-Warashi. She's cute, in a little-girl-with-a-crush way. :3

16. What are your five least favourite pairings? Doumeki/Watanuki/Himawari, Yuuko/Watanuki, Doumeki/Watanuki...um...

Mine is Haruka/Watanuki
I can see where people would get that idea, but it feels almost incentuous to me. >_<
Haruka has basically adopted him a grandson too, that's the feeling I get from him. :P

And he soooo would. I can practically see him calling "grandmother" somebody who isn't even old enough to be his mother, without even batting an eye in surprise for the fact that she is banging his beloved grandfather despite the abismal age difference... Oh boy, Doumeki, you really should do something about that "whatever" attitude you have towards life... ^^U
But we love you for it. XD

True. Although I understand she went through a lot with her husband and all that, she still comes off as the worst villain, even taking the woman with the photograph into account... :x
And it's even worse because she's human. Somehow you expect the spirits to behave badly, but for a mother to react in such a mean way...

Gotta love Doumeki/Bento. That's practically the only pairing in canon CLAMP are ever going to admit to. XD
After all, he's (mostly) only selfish when it comes to food. If that's not love, I don't know what it is... XD

Yep, she's cute. Oh, and I forgot about Tampopo! I know you don't like Himawari much, but you've gotta admit her birdie is a cutie. I almost melted in a puddle of happy goo when he was born, in chapter 12 of the second season of the anime... that scene was even cuter in the anime than in the manga!

Haruka/Watanuki seems to have its own fandom. Some people even say that they make more sense than Doumeki/Watanuki , because he mellows down considerably when it comes to the older Doumeki... but that's rubbish, in my opinion. Watanuki grew up without any family members, of course he would jump at a chance to have some sort of adoptive grandfather (even if he looks his same age). I think that's the same reason he's so attached to Yuuko: somehow, he thinks of her as his mother. :3
And also the reason I just can't picture Yuuko/Watanuki. It feels wrong, somehow >_

As demonstrated by the lady in the park. She certainly made Watanuki happy, but was totally harmful for him. My theory is that she was a "Nothing Woman", which is a manifestation made by the spirits of women who lost their children to war, famine or illness... or at least, that's according to Inuyasha.

Yeah, I've read it, and it's definitely too cute for words. :3
Though I was terrified for a moment that her food was noxious, or something, and Doumeki would suffer some serious consequences for eating that morsel of her food.

You haven't lost much. The second season deviates too much from the most important aspects of the plot, but it does have its great moments. The birth of Tampopo, and a moment in the last episode when Watanuki actually grabs Doumeki and claps his hand over his mouth (and nose) to stop him from saying I-don't-remember-what, and Doumeki actually begins to turn purple... then blue... but doesn't struggle to free himself at all. Methinks he was just too happy to have Watanuki grabbing him. XD
I was actually considering turning that little bit into an icon with "I can die happy now" over him. XD

Watanuki can't be the only one Yuuko flirts with. I think that's just one more way in which she projects a threatening image. It certainly would help to reduce any male customer (which we've never seen so far, save for the old man with the moon birds) to a drooling and nearly incoherent (and totally manipulable) mass.
I still think (in typical fangirl fashion) that all her teasing about love is actually directed towards Doumeki and him. Hey, I can dream, can't I? :P

I hate it too, unless the differences are still in keeping with the original story. somehow, and don't change the characters too much. The main reason the second season is different from the manga is that they've cut off all the things in which the story criss-crosses with TRC, and that's a lot in the chapters it involves. For example, they don't get the jars of water from the well for the TRC cast in acid tokyo, but rather for the neko-musume, because of some sob story about the corpse of a kitten in the well... and the eggs are payment from her rather than from Fuuma and Sakura. It annoys me that they've cut almost everything that linked the two series... though in past animated CLAMP works they've done the same (like in the case of Chobits and Angelic Layer).

Yesm, that's what I thought, too. And he makes a really funny "I'm dying here, in case you didn't notice" noise that always makes me giggle. XD

Yeah, but that's no different from their other series. Even Touya and Yukito, who are practically the most transparent couple in their entire works, never openly admit to their relationship... though both of them admit, seperately, to loving the other. "he's my special person" and stuff, but you have to read between the lines. :P

No, it doesn’t sound stupid. I like that explanation. :3
I love how they criss-cross because it makes their universe seem more real. A story doesn’t only involve the main characters, secondary characters have their own stories, too. When they get heir own story in another series, it’s almost as if they were really alive. :3

Well, we’ve had “he doesn’t want you to disappear”, “your relationship will run deeper”, “you are becoming one with him”, the whole saving each other’s lives, plus “I like your food”, “sharing the burden”, that whole “thank you” and “I want to see how your face looks like” moment, the mittens, the eye... and let’s not forget the dead puppy in the rain incident.
Even though all of them could conceivably be thought of as signs of a growing friendship (yeah, right :P), they can also be taken as “he’s my special person” moments. If nothing else happens before the series ends, we fans can still take them as evidence and dream that their relationship will keep evolving after the series ends... that is, of course, unless one of them dies or gets involved with someone else at the last moment. -_-

I barely follow xxxholic and I don't like Himawari... Who does?

Okay, so she's got that great CLAMP hair and clothing, but she's creepy. I feel like she's going to try to eat Watanuki.

(well, i've sort of been out of the trc fandom for a while now, so yeah. xD; ... i should catch up on that, too. damn it.)

also: WHO THE HELL IS THE FAT MAN? xD; but i adored roxas from the start, and i just, god, he sort of breaks my heart everytime i play. D:

HADES IS COOL LIEK WOAH. LIKE A CUCUMBER. *nodnod*

same favourite pairings, too! lfdjs there seriously is a disturbing lack of seiferhayner. I CRAVE IT. I WANTS IT NAO MY PRECIOUS.

also, y'know, only i rather like rikuroku. in a way. it's ... interesting. but it's only good in au's, never in canon-ish fics. or maybe that's just because i've read some darn awesome rikuroku fics. *shrug*

I SEE WE HAVE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME OPINIONS, OMG WOOT. \o/

(what's there to be sorry for? it's alright!)

OH THAT FAT GUY. I THINK I KNOW WHO YOU MAN. it's been a while since i last played the first kh, but, y'know, I THINK I KNOW. AND HE'S ALWAYS THERE WHUT. SOME CRAZY STALKER. QUICK, SORA, RUN SO YOU WON'T GET MOLESTED BY ANYONE ELSE OTHER THAN RIKU. well, i sort of knew what the deal was with roxas. i think. um. i think i'd read fanfic? no. or. I CAN'T REMEMBER. xD;

I WANT A HADES IN MY FRIDGE. um. he wouldn't last very long, would he? 8DD

oh? i've actually read quite a few good ones, but yeah, READ 'EM ALL, WANT MOAR. i'll see if i can find them again, and i'll link them to you! :D

i would've linked you to the rikuroku i've in my memories, but the links all wonky and is all ... dumb. i guess the author's made the post friends only. D: BUT I SHALL SEE IF I CAN FIND ANYONE ELSE. only i've no idea what those could be, because if they'd been reallyreally good i'd have put them in my memories. darn it. 8D I SHALL TRY.

Hum, I liked Shaoran and Sakura from the beginning since I was already a fan of the pairing back in the ol' CCS days (and they made such a cute couple then), though I can see why you wouldn't have liked him at first. Back in CCS, he started as a mean lil' kid, and only mellowed down with time. And he was darn sexy even as a ten-year-old. :x
I was soooo happy when his old sword finally appeared (although that whole "not him, but his son with the same looks and name" thingy is making my eyes cross in confusion. ^^U)

I also love the fact that is crosses over with xxxholic. It's so fascinating to be reading the same story from two different perspectives... *_*
That's something I've always loved about CLAMP; unfortunately, they've also included evevrything I don't love about them: their tendency to make characters suffer horribly before dying in the most messy and painful ways possible. -_-
Could you believe that ever since the first chapter came out, I was half-expecting things to go the way they did? (ok, not exactly the way they did, but I knew she was going to make us suffer horribly for loving their characters)

And could you believe that I still can't find a scanlation of chapter 201? I'm almost crazy with the need to knooow!! >_<

Oh, I agree with the Ashura thing. He's certainly one mean bastard, though if you read RG Veda, his mean-bastard-ness would be put into perspective. Considering the Ashura in TRC and RG Veda share a soul... :P

True, Fai can certainly overuse the cheerful act. But he's so cute when he's behaving like a kitten on caffeine. XD

BTW: I love that icon. XD

Well, the story is mostly for little kids, but it has its own charm. It's great to read when you're feeling down and need a sugar overdose to raise your spirits. It's definitely sweet enough to do that... Plus Touya, Fujitaka and Yue are definite eye candy. *_*
And lil Shaoran is cute, even with his bushy eyebrows and mean disposition. XD
I started with the anime and then read the manga... the anime is a bit easier to watch, as the cuteness is a bit more spread out, but the plot is better in the manga.

I had already read most of their works when TRC began serializing it, so I was able tos peculate about the direction it would take off on since the beginning. And I can definitely remember hoping fervently that it wouldn't end up dark and bloody halfway through, since I had such nice memories of the characters from CCS. But it was a lost cause. By the time Seishiro made his first appearence, I knew it wasn't going to be a harmless, cute story. -_-

Translated, as I still can't read Japanese... I only know four kanji: Wild, Fire, Dog, and Fox. (oh, and the kanji for Zoro's name, but that's hardly useful XD) So unless the big revelation in chapter 201 is that Watanuki somehow loves wild dogs on fire, RAWS won't do much for me. XD

It's not really that he has a hurtful past, but rather than he has a very good reason to be a bloodthirsty maniac. Saying anymore would spoil the story if ever you were feeling masochistic enough to read it, so I won't. Just one thing: Ashura was involved in one of the few yaoi couples in canon CLAMP have ever admitted to, and it's actually implied that he had a male lover despite being married. We even see them leaving the bed once... ^^U
So unfortunately, that Ashura/Fai thing is not so far-fetched as we would like it to be... >_<

Methinks the only reason Kurogane hasn't strangled him in his sleep is that Fai sleeps on his front (knowledge courtesy of Mokona in one of the bonus chapters), so every time Kurogane set off to do some sleeping-Fai-strangling he got distracted by the sight of his perfectly nice tushy... XD

*blinks* who, me? *innocent air*

Yep, CCS is pure sugar. The worst thing that ever happened was that she accidentally broke her father's laptop when he was busy preparing for some important seminar or something like that. And that wasn't even in the manga, only in the anime.
Ok, yeah, there are a couple of slightly saddening situations, but nobody dies, and you can expect a happy ending to every chapter. The worst injury Sakura ever gets is pricking her fingers with a needle when she was trying to make a present for Shaoran. :P

Yep, I'm a long-time CLAMP fan. I used to be in a spanish-speaking fanfiction mailing list, and some of the girls got me into it. I still don't know if I should thank them of send them a hate mail for it. I'm holding out until the end of TRC and xxholic to make up my mind. XD

The kanji for his name is extremely easy to learn. I took the liberty of making a quick avatar with it, just for you to see it (and keep it, if you so wish. ^^). Sorry it's in black and white, but I really didn't spend too much time in it. :P
I'll try to get a higer quality image of his name, but that's the best I have so far. ^^U

Er, I don't think that's such a good idea. RV Vega is almost bloodier than X/1999, and that's saying something... plus, they really do make you fall in love with the characters , just to show you in full detail their death by dismemberment a couple of pages later. -_-
The plot is awesome, though... it's still one of my favourite stories of all times, even if it makes me cry like mad and howl in indignation every time I read it. :x

Oh, darn. I'm going to have to do it, then? Well, you'd better be the first to request a series, then. No running away, now! *mock glares*

nihilvanum's words:

my dear
the problem is that
you love him so much
you would allow him
to drag you all the way to hell
if it meant you could
hold his hand
on the way down
