I've finally finished my up-to-date word/pdf copy of A Farm in Iowa (AO3) by [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon

ETA: Of course, I've checked how the formatting looks on my Kindle, and everything I had centered has now been moved to left alignment, but meh. The important part is everything is still there!

A Farm in Iowa (the complete series)*:
epub (nook) // mobi (kindle)

If you need it in another format let me know.

Total count:
543 pages
~180,000 words

*for people who skipped what was under the LJ cut, your copy of this fic will come without a table of contents. If you want one, feel free to create one - may you have better luck than I./lj-cut>

I'm going to go with dedicated, as I've done equally dubious things for fic in the past.

And just let me say, wow

Table of contents are important. As are indices. Never underestimate their worth.

and definatley wow.

projects that seem easy rarely ever actually are. I once created a whole new font just for a project I was working on, which made things 100x more difficult than it needed to be

and, as an all-round fan of databases, I must admire your attempts at table-of-contents making.

Thank you, I will. I was always going crazy trying to get all the pieces and in the order they should be read, so it was nice to find this so I can finally read the whole thing now.

Cool, it's better than the mess I would have had. I was going to get to it but always thought how daunting it would be.

Thank You

OMG!!! The story that introduced me - and had me fall head over heels in love with - John & Rodney before I even saw a single episode of SGA. Thank you for doing this. I have the seperate chapter PDFs that I made with the Print function on th Mac. This is way better!

I'm one of those people! I joined LJ after getting caught up in Sports Nught, ten years after it was cancelled. Lisa (elderwitty) trickled me on the rim of SGA fandom but I wasn't too interested at first. Then she had me read "Mail Myself To You" which I liked. THEN she showed me Iowa 'verse, and that's all it took. It holds such a special place in my heart. Besides being perfect (to me), I also owe sheafrotherdon a debt of gratitude for bringing elderwitty and i together as writing partners, but for also letting me play in Iowa 'verse. My first SGA story was a "missing scene" from "And Then There Was Finn". Hell, I was starting a fic based on Iowa 'verse today on my planeride home! :)

SERIOUSLY!?!?!? ::plotzes:: OMG, that is so awesome - thank you! I don't mind at all - I'm honored! This new one is about 18 months after Merrie is born, but it's part of an overall larger fic, so it'll probably be a couple months before [livejournal.com profile] elderwitty and I publish it. :)

That sounds so complicated.

I'm lazy. If the story is on AO3 I just use the handy download button to put the stories on my PC. Then I drag them onto my kindle and link them by creating a collection.

I might try your method for stories that are not on AO3, but my kindle has wifi so it's probably easier to use the built in browser.

So far, I don't have too many fandoms to collect. One thing I wish I could do with kindle is have sub catagories within my collections.

I've noticed Farm in Iowa had a lot of small fic - so I can see how you'd want to link those all up. I mostly read the shorter fic online to save clutter, and download the big stories which will take longer to read.

Thank you so much! I live on my ipad now, and it's perfect as an ereader - what a treat to have this entire series put together so beautifully!

Thank you for your hard work!

I have a Kindle app and an ibook app on here so I can read those formats. I also have an uzip app now so I can even download zipped files! Hurrah!

Thanks again!

It's great! Your dedication shall be as an inspiration to us all. ♥

my dear
the problem is that
you love him so much
you would allow him
to drag you all the way to hell
if it meant you could
hold his hand
on the way down
