Rodney used to have a job in research; John used to be in the military. Rodney used to live alone; John hasn't lived alone in centuries. Rodney used to be human; John used to be human. Circumstances force them together and each has to learn how to cope - both as humans, and as wolves.

Note: This fic is a WIP that may be abandoned. The first two installments - Keep Holding On (either version) and Through The Rain are complete as they are, however.

I'm tired. I worked a little on my Big AU fic and it pretty much sucked all the energy out of me. Also came across this post (which shall go unnamed) that was pretty hard on several SGA fics that I love. So now I'm feeling down. I think I may go to bed.

I thoroughly endorse your idea to completely ignore that post henceforth & maintain that you never even saw it. As hard as it is to think that others don't love your 'kids' as you do, please remember that those are their opinions. Even if you respect their opinions (usually), your opinions aren't wrong. Intelligent, good-hearted people can honestly disagree & all be right on matters of taste.... Myself, I love a good smooshy clichéd fic sometimes! It comforts me & soothes ruffled nerves & just helps me be happy in an uncomplicated way. I like other kinds of fics at other times, too, & that's OK. Sometimes your heart/brain/spirit wants to do 'serious research' & sometimes it wants to read the funnies. ;-)

Ooooh, a Big AU Fic?!? Did I know about this? I'm sorry it kicked your butt yesterday but I do so like reading fics from you....

I respect their opinion and their right to write about it - it just seems kind of terrible, to focus so much on fics you didn't like. Why not post about the ones you did and ignore the ones you didn't?

Yes, my Big AU! Only two or three people knew that I wanted to write one, so you probably didn't know about it. I'm glad you like reading fics from me :D Hopefully this fic lives up to your hopes XD
