In a conversation via Skype with rock_mafia, who created this great tumblr blog, the latest post led to me saying this:

I just wish we could have seen Rodney hug John, and John do that awkward pat and sort of wiggle-to-get-away thing.
And his ears would get pink and he'd rub the back of his neck, but he'd be secretly pleased, 'cause he got a RODNEY!HUG

GUYS. I WANT JOHN/RODNEY HUGS. The first part is even canon-plausible, though the second is definitely fangirl-y.

Um... I basically just wanted to say I love our fecking skype convos. They're so flaily and all over the place and probably don't make much sense at all.

a sigh, sounds of sheets rustling, and the humming of someone half-asleep. early morning light filtering in through the blinds, and the blue tint of the ocean. a foot rubbing against another, bellies touching, curving against each other, fitting together in the hollow spaces in between.

another sigh. fingers tickling a sensitive throat, and john, eyes blinking softly open, sleep-addled and content. there's the sound of waves, of people bustling beyond the doors, and rodney, eyes open and the slant of his mouth curved into a smile, impossibly close and impossibly, impossibly fond.

and if john sighs, smiles, burrows a little further into rodney's warmth, well. there's no one there to see it.

I can't go a day without reading something about them. An entire year seems impossible to me. BUT YOU HAVE SO MANY OTHER FANDOMS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN, SO. It's understandable.
