.school reminds me of fandom

1. My school fucked up my chances of getting into the Nursing program, so I think I'm going to just switch majors. Which means that I just wasted two years of my life, and I get to watch my friends graduate while I stay behind YAY

The entire situation is stressing me out. Switching majors shouldn't be such a big deal.

2. Three facts I learned in Gender Studies that made me giggle and think of sga slash:

• Research indicates that men tend to fall in love faster and harder than women.
• Both gay and lesbian commitments resemble best-friend relationships with the added dimensions of sexuality and romance. (MCSHEP)
• Male friends tend to signal affection by teasing, friendly competition, and playful punches and backslaps. (JOHN)

OMG YOU SHOULD. I've been in the fandom for less less than a quarter of the time I was in One Piece, and I already have more memories than I ever had for OP, and I'm far from finished. Which isn't a slight against OP, not at all, but it just goes to show how huge the fandom is. It's the biggest I've ever been in, and the tv show itself is AMAZING all by itself. /pimp

eyah... i got the degree at least... but i work in a field that has NOTHING to do about it, and yet have years left to pay it off. *le sigh* one of the drawbacks of further education, eh? XD XD

wowee... that IS saying something! i've noticed that MANY of the people that i share fandoms with are big into SGA. hmmmm... yessssss... i must check out... >D ... if only i could get myself to stop obsessing over Merlin for more than five minutes XD XD ^^;;;;

That's what I'm afraid will happen, sort of. I'll get a degree and then it'll be useless because there aren't any jobs where I can utilize it :( Haha, yeah. Just because you spend all that time getting the degree doesn't guarantee you a use for it; which is too bad.

You should definitely check it out! I wasn't too sure about it at first, but after I reached a certain two-part episode in the first season I sort of went wild. And the GAY IS SO SUBTEXT-Y CANON. lolol Merlin is awesome too though, and deserves obsession and love *nod*

It's all good -- just embarrassing! And I'm not sure what I want to change my major to, so I'm kind of freaking out. Oh? Yes, I remember now what you're going for :) I imagine that requires quite a bit of schooling. But at least you're working toward your goal~

In my case, my classmates in high school already started attending college almost two years ago. And here I am still, staying behind.

I knew about men falling in love faster than women (read it in my psychology book; I told my mom and even she was surprised, and she's in her 40s), but not the other two! Very interesting and the second one is awesome. <3

Also, if it makes you feel any better, I'm 20 and going nowhere. I homeschooled through high school and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I don't even know if I could make it in college if I tried, now. D:
