Holy shit, the song "far behind" by candlebox brings back memories. It makes me so nostalgic; I remember curling up on the couch and listening to my dad's music back when everybody else was listening to the spice girls. So I completely missed being part of that era of music, not that I really mind. Still, listening to "far behind" makes me wish to be six again.
Question: What songs make you nostalgic, flist?
Anyway, I hope everyone has a great Halloween, and gets all the candy they want! ♥♥♥

Date: 2009-10-31 11:21 pm (UTC)Hmm. The Day We Caught The Train by Ocean Colour Scene always makes me go all nostalgic ;3; And anything by Queen, lol.
I remember listening to Radiohead when everyone else was listening to The Spice Girls, do I get any points for that? XD

Date: 2009-11-01 01:33 pm (UTC)I strongly suspected that you wouldn't have heard it, I guess they're kinda obscure lol. Just one favourite? Um, um. I like most of their early stuff, Seven Seas of Rhye is the first that comes to mind, but then Innuendo is my favourite of their albums. And everything in between is good, too :P
Whoop! Hee, thanks ^^ ♥

Date: 2009-11-03 04:34 pm (UTC)lol Yeah, I really don't know that many obscure bands. It really is difficult to choose a favorite Queen song. They've done so much, and pretty much all of it is good.
You're so welcome~

Date: 2009-11-01 12:33 am (UTC)and ahaha, as to your question, pretty much everything by spice girls. and *nsync, and backstreet boys (especially them!) and phil collins and nirvana and queen and stuff. i don't even know, there's just SO many of them, it's ridiculous. especially these finnish songs that were really popular in the '90s, and finnish bands like tiktak and ultra bra and aikakone and nylon beat and dingo, because really i grew up listening to those on the radio. so, you know. all those, and so much more.
also BARBIE GIRL BY AQUA. ASD;ALKJFD THAT WAS SUCH AN EPIC SONG, AHAHAHA.

Date: 2009-11-01 01:13 am (UTC)lolol I used to like the Backstreet Boys too. Are they even still making music? Oh, Nirvana and Queen, yesyes. ;dskf;sa there was a finnish band called ultra bra? That wins XP My mother and I were discussing U.S bands performing in foreign countries. She was wondering if they sing in English, and I said they had to, or they'd have to speak the language of the country their in. And, well, nobody can live at that speed. Haha, I managed to sneak in an Eddie Izzard quote.
HAHAHA, THAT SONG WILL BE FOREVER REMEMBERED. HAVE YOU SEEN THE VIDEO? IT'S DISTURBING.

Date: 2009-11-01 01:38 am (UTC)god, i've no idea. it'd sort of break my brain if they were, though. ahahaha yes there is! although i doubt they were thinking what you're probably thinking right now when they named their band. xDD could be they were thinking of the swedish word "bra" which means "good". BUT IDK. MAYBE IT'S THE ENGLISH MEANING FOR BRA THEY MEANT. THAT'D BE QUITE HILARIOUS, especially since i hadn't thought of it like that before. xDDDDD ahahahaha, yeah, they do sing in english, of course. i mean, yeah. if a finnish band performed in the u.s, or anywhere else, they, too, would sing in whatever language they made the songs. i mean, it's not like it's really so much the language that's important, anyway. :P
OF COURSE I HAVE. I THINK IT'S QUITE FABULOUS. :D :D :D

Date: 2009-11-03 04:53 pm (UTC)I haven't heard anything about them in a while, so I don't think they are. Oh, yeah, that seems much more likely than using "bra" as in "that thing women wear". PERHAPS THEY NAMED THEIR BAND BRA ON PURPOSE, JUST SO THERE COULD BE A DOUBLE MEANING. Sneaky people :) Yeah, that's what I said! Otherwise it'd make singing difficult in other countries. Besides, if you like the band enough to go to a concert of theirs, I don't think it matters to you what language they sing in.
HAHAHAHA I'M REALLY NOT SURPRISED. IT'S FULL OF CRACK.

3) Brandy songs.
4) Backstreet Boys, Nsync (when Justin wasn't trying to be overly sexy) and 98 Degrees.
5) Will Smith. He doesn't do rap anymore. D:

Date: 2009-11-03 04:36 pm (UTC)I never listened to much Brandy, 98 Degrees, or Will Smith, but I used to be a pretty big Backstreet Boys fan, and I liked Nsync well enough. *nod*
Ahh, memories.
