Hmm...LJ Basic Account Babbling

A couple of weeks ago, there was a big uproar about LJ disabling the option to create a basic account. I grew extremely worried, since I've invested quite a lot of time into this site (as the astonishingly high number of memories can prove). I don't/didn't want my account to be deleted. I don't want to loose all my friends, the communities I belong to, and my memories.

But I then learned they wouldn't be deleting basic accounts before March 12, 2008. I breathed a sigh of relief, and went on my way.

Then I was informed of plus accounts. If I had known they were free, I would have gotten a paid account in the beginning and just dealt with the advertisments.

So now I'm wondering - is it possible to move on to a plus account, without losing everything?

If so, I'm willing to deal with a few distracting, annoying advertisments if it means I don't have to worry my account will be deleted.

Note to self: Do some research. I know how to switch over, but will my memories & communites keep?

2 AM! Dang, I was asleep by then! They have some pretty cool layouts for this site. I'm in awe of people who can make them.

I know! XD I don't usually stay up that late, but I wasn't tired, and I got talking to a friend, then I found a really cool site with LJ layouts . . . tehehe. I love making layouts! But I have no idea how LJ coding works. If I get into it I'll probably mess with it, but I like the one I have for now.

Aww, thanks, I love the name too! I was just thinking about writing and how much cadence is involved in it one day, and it popped into my head. Story of my life. XD

Wow, I'm long winded today . . . :P

On school nights, I stay up for much the same reasons - I get talking to a friend, or I get into some site...

I can't help you with how LJ coding works. I wouldn't even know how to search for that. -.-

There's nothing wrong with being long-winded! I often mean to leave a short, concise comment and end up babbling for several paragraphs. XD

I've been okay. Just got over a cold, and I'm stressed from school, but it sort of balances out with the good in my life. But what about you? How have you been?

Bleh, that doesn't sound fun. Balancing is good, though. I've been OK. I didn't have to work much last week since my dad (who I work for part time) was on a business trip, so that was fun. lol And tomorrow I'm going with my mom and sisters to a debate tournament. they roped me into judging, but I don't mind. i just don't like being away for a three day weekend. oh well.

You work for your dad? What's that like? It doesn't sound like it'd be a lot of fun, but since I have no experience to base that on, I could be wrong. You know, I could see you at a debate tournament. Of course, I could picture you debating easier than I could picture you judging, but *shrug*

Working for my dad is pretty cool. I really like my dad, so it's all good. Though he is terribly quirky. XD It pays well, so I can't complain.

Hehe I did debate once and wanted to do it more but didn't have the time at that point, and it was a high school home school league. I really like judging, and the best part is that judges don't have to wear a suit! tehehe lucky me.

It's good that you get along with your father, and that you don't mind working with him. I know a lot of people that'd hate it. And if it pays well --- then it's even better XD

Hehe, yeah, it was fun, but I'm glad to be back. We're going to be gone all this coming weekend at a dog show! Ack! And my dog is shedding like crazy, which is kinda funny because she's so cute and rather pathetic when I brush her and get her hair all over the yard. XD

Yeah, I show her in UCK obedience. My two sisters show their dogs, too. Dogs are awesome! Well, the dogs I LIKE are awesome. XD I only need three more combine qualifying scores to get my final title, and I'll have four opportunities at this show, so I really hope I can do it! *so excited* I haven't been able to practice much, though, so I'll probably be doing a bit of that this week. =P

That's so cool that you show dogs! XD I used to know someone who did the same, though they had like 20 dogs.

Well, good luck getting your final title! I'm sure you'll be able to do it. I can't really say anything more, because...well, I know nothing about dog shows. -.-
