What's a new fandom that you've fallen into since the last June Something/in the last year?
I think there's two?

Good Omens was a new fandom for me, though the book fandom has been around for some time. I really adored the mini-series and read some really good fic. This fandom is a weird one for me though, because while I read quite a bit of fic, little of it gave me that rush you get when you read something really good. This is not a criticism of the fic or the fandom - for whatever reason, I just wasn't connecting with what was being put out. I still have some fic bookmarked to read that I'd like to get back to, but I'll have to watch the mini-series first. I kind of miss these idiots ♥

The second fandom has really taken over my life, and that'd be Buzzfeed Unsolved. It's just really funny, with short episodes, so it's the perfect way to relax after a crazy day at work. Plus, the hosts of the show are still putting out new episodes - not of BFU, but new, original stuff. So there is new content, fic, discussions, etc. It is RPF (at least the portion that I lurk is), which has always been controversial, and every now and then I'll see a post from someone about how disgusting we are, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There's some REALLY good fic, but I'm so desperate for stuff to read that I've been reading damn near anything.

(SGA is still my #1, forever and always though)

Okay, I think you're going to have to get me into BFU. It sounds intriguing.

Thank you! I don't know why, but I'm averse to Youtube for some reason. But I have a handy tool that downloaded all these, so after I fix the naming, I'll upload them to the Plex. :)

Why yes, I'm complicated. Why do you ask? :)

Where did you get these prompts?

Does DBH / Hank/Connor give you the lingering fandom vibe at all?

I'm mostly desperate for quarantine to be over so they can start making new eps of BFU! LOL! But I'm enjoying most of the Watcher Weekly content, too. The Professor eps are the best! So much joy! ::grins::

I loved Good Omens, but I also didn't vibe with much of the fic I read. IDK why, objectively I know it's good. Maybe it's because I was kind of satisfied with their canon relationship? I didn't feel like it needed to be more than it was.

You post a lot of BFU on tumblr, I really should watch it if it has you laughing that much. :)

The Good Omens mini series was awesome and it was good to see how the new fans connected with those of us that had been in the fandom for years because of the book. The fandom is really cool and I love how Martin Sheen has embraced us. I'm not too sure about the fic that I've read I avoid anything with sex in it because really I don't need to read that. I'm happy with Crowley and Aziraphale as they are in canon.

Good Omens was the first book that my gf and I read to each other. She introduced me to it.

It's funny these days I don't really read sex in stories. I prefer to just read the story, but like you say fandom is horny and you can't get away from it :D

I tend to read crime novels and there's not normally much sex in those. I gave up on the Laurell K Hamilton books because although the initial worldbuilding was really interesting the amount of sex was just too much. If I'm in the mood for pwp I'll read one or two authors that I know and like but that's about it.

IF I'm in the mood for romance stories I always tend to go for McShep AU because godammit there are some really good fics out there. I avoid romance novels mainly because I don't read het.

The thing with Laurell K Hamilton was that with all the really good looking men that she was fucking they never got it on with each other and I don't think she ever referred to sex as fucking. having a clear out of books at the moment and all the Laurell K Hamilton went to the charity shop.

my dear
the problem is that
you love him so much
you would allow him
to drag you all the way to hell
if it meant you could
hold his hand
on the way down
