Which one hogs the blankets?
Which one cuts the other’s hair?
Which one makes coffee for the other one every morning?
Which one picks up the pizza?
Which one likes their music on full volume?
Which one complains about the crumbs on the bed?
Which one is ticklish?
Which one sings and which one plays the music?
Which one proposes?
Which one hogs the blankets?
John. Rodney puts off a lot of heat and John is always cold (Rodney likes to make pointed remarks about lack of body fat in relation to heat retention). Somehow, the blankets always end up wrapped around John, burrito-style, with John pressed up against Rodney.
Which one cuts the other’s hair?
John Sheppard trusts very few people with his hair, okay. But Rodney's haircut is very simple and easy to do, so Rodney will have John do it. In canon, this saves on black market items Rodney would have to trade on otherwise, and sometimes John asks for sexual favors in return (which Rodney would give to him anyway, but it's still fun).
Which one makes coffee for the other one every morning?
John, for sure. John returns from his run with Ronon, starts the coffee, and jumps in the shower. By the time his bathroom routine is finished, the coffee is done. John makes sure to leave a cup on the table next to their bed, and lets Rodney sleep just a little longer (since Rodney never makes it to bed before 0100 anyway).
Which one picks up the pizza?
When it's not being delivered, it's the last person home for the evening. In an AU setting, John instigates a rule that they both be home in time for dinner, so they can spend the evenings together. Often this means Rodney picks up the pizza, since he waits as long as possible before leaving his office. (Rodney's always grumpy about leaving at first, but by the time he's pulling onto their street he's just eager to see John). Sometimes, if Rodney's work is particularly hectic or stressful, John will swing by to pick up the pizza so Rodney can come straight home.
Which one likes their music on full volume?
John! Rodney likes going to the orchestra, which can be loud, but at home or in the car Rodney keeps it at a low level to prevent early onset hearing loss. John likes to rock out to classic rock or Johnny Cash while in the car alone, but otherwise keeps it at a decent level to keep Rodney from worrying about the state of John's hearing.
Which one complains about the crumbs on the bed?
Both of them hate this. Rodney's more likely to leave crumbs, but he has sensitive skin - John often compares Rodney to the princess in the princess and the pea - so he'll insist on changing the sheets. John just plain hates it. Rodney eating in bed and then demanding the sheets be changed lead to a "no eating in bed" rule.
Which one is ticklish?
Both, in their own way. Rodney's feet and behind his knees make him laugh and squirm and complain. John finally has to kiss him quiet when he's red-faced, bright-eyed, and hair mussed. Tickling John's sides make him laugh that loud, honking laugh of his, which makes Rodney laugh, until both of them are breathless and rolling around on the bed, John to escape Rodney's grasp and Rodney to keep hold. It ends only when John uses some of his military training to pin Rodney to the bed (or someone falls off the bed, whichever comes first).
Which one sings and which one plays the music?
John sings and Rodney plays the music. They have a piano in their living room, which Rodney plays on occasion. Rodney has even done his best to get some of John's favorite modern pieces converted, so he can play Johnny Cash while John makes lunch and quietly sings along. Rodney thinks the feelings he has during those times are surely better than any he would have felt playing at Carnegie Hall.
Which one proposes?
Rodney. He stresses and frets and plans for months, constantly calling Jeannie and asking her opinion, going to Teyla (who gives him tea he can barely drink and enigmatic advice), and Ronon (who laughs). It's all for nothing though, because Rodney's proposal slips out on a normal night, where John puts in Back to the Future to get Rodney ranting and switches it out instead for that movie Rodney's been wanting to see. John sits next to Rodney on their worn couch, encouraging Rodney to lean sideways into him, and Rodney wants John to know this is something he wants forever.
