popkin16I live in my great-grandmother's house. It's been in the family for years, and when she was moved to assisted living, we came in, cleaned it, repainted, etc. My grandmother had $10,000 left to pay on the house, but instead of letting us take up her payments (because it wasn't in her will), they decided they were going to foreclose on the house. We've been waiting for news since November and trying to find a place to move to in the meantime, but it's difficult because we're...you know, poor.
Well the mortgage company came by today, so any day now we expect a letter letting us to move. We still haven't found a place to go, but some family friends have offered to let us stay with them for awhile. They don't have internet. I might be able to put it in and pay for it myself, but at the moment everything is still so undecided that I have no idea what's going to happen.
Actually, that last line sums it all up: We're moving, we have no place of our own to go, so we're staying with internet-less family friends. I have no idea what's going to happen.
And now I must return to downloading all sorts of fic. THINK OF ALL THE FIC I'M GOING TO MISS D:
