My spring break is almost over T_T
1. A favorite book!
Just one?
Sorry, I can't choose just one!
2. A book that affected you in your YA years.
Definitely harry potter. HP was what got me into fandom, into fanfiction. If I was asked about my early life, there was no way I could not mention harry potter.
3. A favorite fantasy novel.
Fantasy's my favorite genre, so choosing on specific novel is hard. It changes at any given moment, you see. But for the sake of answering a question, I'm going to go with the discworld series. It makes me laugh :)
4. A favorite sci fi novel.
The only one that comes to mind is the special agent pendergast series by douglas preston and lincoln child.
5. An awesome book (possibly a favorite) you think not many people around you have heard of/read.
the walker papers. Nobody has read that book T_T But it's fine, I'll fangirl about it on my own.
6. A book you own more than one copy of.
Haha, the chronicles of chrestomanci by diana wayne jones, but the only reason I have more than one book of that was because of a mistake.
7. An author whose every single book you own/will buy.
I'm pretty choosy about which books I buy, so...nobody. I have authors I like, but that doesn't mean I'll like every single book they ever wrote.
8. The worst book you've ever read.
lord of the rings. It's a classic, I know. But it was boring and too description-heavy. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep several times while reading it, and that never happens to me.
9. A book you dislike that lots of other people you know like.
As boring an answer as it is, twilight. Sadly, people whose taste in books I respected has gotten into twilight, it makes me so sad. Luckily, I also have friends that dislike the books, so I'm not forced to constantly listen to how good it is. >.<
10. The most difficult book you've ever read.
emma by...Jane Austen, I think. I hated the character Emma, so I had to force myself through the book.
11. Tell me what kind of books your mom reads/read.
The kind of books written by Stephen King and Clive Barker. Horror novels, creepy and twisted plots....she's the reason I like those books, actually. XDD
12. What have you read so far this year?
-- the walker papers by c.e. murphy (re-read)
-- black dagger brotherhood by j.r. ward
-- thirteen reasons why by jay asher
-- war for the oaks by emma bull
-- earth, my butt, and other big round things by carolyn mackler
-- daddy long legs by jean webster (re-read)
-- a dirty job by christopher moore
-- working for the devil (Dante Valentine series book 1) by lilith saintcrow
-- the mercy thompson series by patricia briggs (re-read)
13. What are you reading now?
the adrien english series by Josh Lanyon. I LOVE THIS SERIES. And it certainly helps that the main character is a good-looking, likable, gay man. XD
14. What are you reading next?
-- xanth series by piers anthony
-- the princess bride by william goldman
-- the discworld series by terry pratchett (re-read)
*EDIT* I just finished the "Adrien English Mysteries" series, and I WANT MORE. I'm addicted to that series, but I don't think any more books are out. D: D: D:
