Sometimes when I'm watching a show, I wonder what a character is doing before they appear.

For example, I'm on S4 of SG-1. While I was watching the episode, I found myself wondering, "What is Rodney doing *right now*? Where is John? Ronon's already running at this point, I think. Is Teyla the leader of her people yet?"

I do it for all sorts of shows. I'm also watching Due South at the moment - season two. And I find myself wondering what Ray Kowalski is doing right now, where he's at, while Fraser and Ray Vecchio run around Chicago.

That will be the year before Rodney gets sent to Siberia so he would be in Nevada and John in Afganistan probably just before his black mark

What do you think Ronon and Teyla are doing?

Season 4 is 2000 so thats 4 years before Atlantis so Ronan is in the first couple of years of running. It could even be around that time when he first visited the planet where later the team visited in S3 and were caught and Rodney ended up shot in the arse with an arrow.

I think Teyla is working along side her father on trading, learning her diplomatic role as future leader she is only around 5 years or so younger than John and Rodney where as Ronan would be in his very early 20's still almost a kid really if you use the actors real ages as a reference

Ooo, you should. I'd love to read them! I mean, I know in a general sense - like melodysparks said, Rodney is in Nevada and John is in Afghanistan. But what are they *doing*? I also do this thing where I'm watching the beginning of a show I've seen before - like SGA - and I think, "Oh boy, you have no idea what is coming."

You are definately not alone. But It would be wonderful to know exactly *what* they're doing... I'll have to think about that - i've a collection of "Origin" ficlets in my head waiting to be written... we'll have to see how it goes.

Ooo, I kind of like that idea :) That way everything is kind of connected :P

We never did get a timeline for when Teyla's father dies, so it's possible he died just a few years before the show began. She could be working with him, yeah!
