Yeah, that's why I fell out of the KHR fandom too (that and shipping a rarepair which never gets attention lol). I guess you probably aren't familiar with the manga Bakuman, but there was a reference to why manga like KHR change from gag to battle and it's interesting to see how much editorial pressures influence the style behind the scenes.
