It's maddening when you're trying to finish a fanfic and get blindsided by two more plot bunnies, each one for a multi-chaptered (or at the very least a long one-shot) fic that would take ages to get through.

SO TRUE. Writer's block is really unfornuate, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but I kind of wish I had just a touch of it. Because really, it's getting ridiculous.

I was reading an AU where John was a construction worker (I ADORE that type of AU), and I wanted so badly to write one, but then I started thinking, which is never good for me. And a bartender!John fic was born, where he smirks and slinks and flirts with a drunk!Rodney who never notices.

WHY IT'S NOT IN MY RECLIST I'VE NO IDEA because it's awesome. also, hot. i just really have this weakness for fics where rodney gets to see john being really smart asd;aljl. and i've seen the second one, but never got around to actually reading it so i'll do that now. thanks for the links!

ISN'T IT? John as Hobbes, so epic. And then through some sort of ancient device John because a real human, and Rodney has to deal with woman fawning all over him and gets jealous. But John always crawls back into bed with Rodney. What an adorable crack!fic ♥

IT'S VERY UNUSUAL FOR ME. I wouldn't mind you looking over it at all, though it's not finished and I'm just sort of trying to get it all down at the moment. I'm not sure I'm going to post it on LJ either, since I only have two friends that like SGA and I don't have enough confidence for community posting. I could send the entire thing to you in an e-mail though. Oh, it is! So is rambling, it's very fun to write Rodney.

...unfortunately, I'm not a good source of advice here. I generally can't get more than a coouple of pages (and sometimes a couple of paragraphs) done before losing my inspiration in any new story, unless the muses are cooperating. *sighs*

LOL its ok sweety. all the good authors suffer from it at one point or another. I myself have 2 long multi chap fics somewhat in progress and another mini chap fic that was supposed to be a one-shot(ya, that didnt go as planned)

don't worry. you'll be thankful for those random ideas when you're beating your head against the wall with writers block.

How do you deal with it? It's maddening. I never know what I want to work on, what I want to finish first. If this is something you often deal with, then I have even greater respect for you than I did before.

Haha, I bet. I remember what writer's block is like, so I suppose in an odd way I should be thankful.

I have to say I'm not enjoying Watanuki-as-Yuuko

Neither am I. I don't know, I kind of saw this coming, but I miss his old spazzy, energetic, screaming self. Not that I'm complaining about the fact that he keeps seeing Doumeki regularly and that he's able to hold civilized conversations with him now, but I guess I wasn't prepared to see him change so much.

He makes me want to grab him and shake him until he shows some signs of life. >_<

Hopefully Doumeki will do so for me.

A lot of people were hoping he'd take over the shop; I'm not sure how the fans feel about him channeling Yuuko, however. OH, ME TOO. Where is the Kimihiro we all fell in love with? I like Yuuko, but she's a completely different character -- we don't need two.

There's that comic where Doumeki throws the egg into Watanuki's face -- I think that should happen. *feels frustrated*
