Westworld is basically a super high tech theme park. All of the "hosts" are robots (who don't know they're robots), with programmed responses depending on what "newcomers" (aka guests to the park) do and wear (like what color hat a guest is wearing). It's an 'anything goes' park - you can have sex with the robots, kill them, rape them, etc - whatever you want. In the show, the robots start to become self-aware...
