This was revealed in Tsubasa, so I have no idea when (if?) Watanuki will find out. Hopefully never, because he'd be devastated. I mean, his existance caused pain for his parents (that's what I'm getting, anyway, from this post). And...and...poor kid. HE'S TOO AWESOME TO BE A REPLACEMENT.

Clamp keeps picking on poor Watanuki. :( This is just making everyone more curious about who Watanuki's parents were, since he wasn't supposed to be real.

Someone mentioned that they think Watanuki's parents were just memories created so he won't suspect anything, but then why would that old lady diviner say they were at peace, and happy he grew into a fine young man? So...maybe TRC!Syaoran (and Watanuki's I guss) parents are CSS!Sakura and Syaoran, and they're dead now. :(

I haven't read CSS, so I'm not familiar with Sakura and Syaoran. But as far as it goes, I wish Watanuki's parents weren't dead.

It's possible, I think. I can't think of any other way it would work out, unless Eriol and this teacher-woman from CSS took him in as a favor or something to Syaoran.

the shoebox project is, basically, heaven for all hp fans who like the marauders. and everyone who likes remussirius. basically. XD;; it is the fic-series in the marauder!world. (it's even been discussed in real newspapers, i think.) IT'S JUST LEGENDARY OMG. and actually, jaida jones, one of the women who wrote havemercy, is one of the sbp writers. and um, re-read sbp. well, holic, too, but i meant sbp. 8D

Ohhh...I liked the Marauders just fine, though they were never especially favorites of mine. But the shoeboxproject sounds pretty cool, and the fact that Jaida Jones is involved makes me grin like an idiot. XD

Sometimes I think xxxHolic will have a happy(ish) ending, because why would Yuuko go to all the trouble to help Watanuki learn valuable life lessons if he's only to die? But, she could just be preparing him for whatever battle is fast approaching. And just because Watanuki doesn't die, doesn't mean certain, uh, other people will T_T I WANT A HAPPY ENDING, DARN IT. Doumeki's so good at bringing Watanuki out of whatever depression he falls in. I wonder when Watanuki will notice? (Mmm, that's a good point. Watanuki's just so loveable, and vulnerable too -- no family, constantly attacked by things he has no way to fight against, etc. It just brings out the urge to protect). Yes. I was really in to HP in my pre-ghei days. Once I started reading manga, I fell in love with it and have never gone back. Havemercy is actually the first book where I really shipped characters in a ghei pairing. XD

Exactly so. It's interesting that they introduce something seemingly small and insignificant, and later on it becomes important.
