I was talking with my friend Sarah about Sheppard and his team and what'd they be like when they were old, and a sort of impromptu instant message ficcing began...

Melissa: All of AR-1 would still look good when they're old
Melissa: Haha, man.
Melissa: They would be the craziest old people ever
Melissa: New recruits that go to Atlantis would hear stories about them
Sarah: LOLOL!!! Oh, yes! They would become legendary, for sure!
Melissa: YES
Sarah: That would be SO awesome to see!
Melissa: Wouldn't it?
Melissa: You read a lot of fics where they get turned into kids
Melissa: None about them getting old though
Sarah: Ah! This is true!
Melissa: It'd be hilarious. Ronon and Rodney would still eat food like they were worried it'd get away from them, only now most of the food gets all over. And Teyla will roll her eyes and sigh and wonder what she did with Torren's bib from when he was little (because you know someone on Earth has told her about them). And John would totally be making eyes at some "hot" old lady and laugh when Ronon stuffs potatoes up Rodney's nose in retaliation for Rodney stealing one of his rolls.
Melissa: And at some point someone loses their dentures
Melissa: John forces all the new recruits to search for the teeth, much to their disgust
Melissa: And Rodney will go, "Ew, Sheppard, that's disguting." and John will shrug and go, "That's what they're here for -- to make my life easier." And then sit back and relax.
Sarah: YES!
Sarah: I can SEE THAT!
Melissa: HAHAHA
Melissa: Oh my god, I want to write a crack!fic about lost dentures and messy eating too
Sarah: LOL! You should!!! And Radek will hit Rodney over the head with his cane!
Sarah: XDDD
Melissa: HAHAHAHA
Melissa: And Rodney will retaliate by stealing his dentures, and that's how the whole denture scavenger hunt begins.
Sarah: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! There ya go!!!!!
Sarah: OH
Sarah: And the marines find Radek's dentures and give them to John instead, and Sheppard's all, "WTF?!"
Melissa: HAHAHA
Melissa: And once they explain that they're Dr. Zelenka's, John goes, "So why give them to me?"
Melissa: And the marines will exchange nervous glances
Melissa: And say, "Doctor Zelenka is...kind of scary. Sir," they add, and resolutely don't meet his eyes.
Melissa: "He's always hanging out with McKay, too." and now they look downright terrified
Melissa: And John understands, because separately they're scary, but together they're fucking terrifying, and these are new recruits, perhaps he should warn the two scientists not to break them.
Melissa: So he takes the teeth and gives them back to the two scientists and ignores the image of Radek without teeth.

So, what do you think? Should cracky geezer!fic get written? Perhaps even a whole series of their old adventures!
