They are simultaneously the most ridiculously dorky, aging, unattractive men, and the most inexplicably hot. And they have the, like, most RIDICULOUSLY OBNOXIOUS PERSONALITIES, except for how they're simultaneously COMPLETELY ADORKABLE and endearing

This is like the best way of describing McShep ever, even if I've got to agree with hoktauri about all the unnessicary down-putting of the series.

I've got to agree with hoktauri about all the unnessicary down-putting of the series.

Like I told [livejournal.com profile] hoktauri, this really doesn't surprise me - I've run into this sentiment before. Some people are really only interested in the fandom, and want no part of the show itself (or only watch to better enhance their fandom experience). I think it's ridiculous, because I love the show a stupid amount, campy though it may be.

But yeah, the put downs about the show make me upset and defensive.

It's not so much the putting down of SGA (hell, I do it sometimes too), but the degree to which its done. It's like, yes, we get it already. Move on. But that might just be me.

I guess she didn't want anybody who gave the show a try to accuse her of leading them into thinking the show was fantastic? IDK. Your right, she does sort of belabor the point.

i wouldn't have bought 4 seasons of SGA on dvd if I had thought "stupid" meant "bad." just saying!
