It turns out Sheppard’s physically unharmed, just doped out of his mind on Pegasus Galaxy truth serum. And since the rescue party arrives 35 minutes later, Rodney down-grades the entire experience to a mild food-poisoning equivalence class.

"Stop thinking," Elizabeth had told Rodney once, and he wished he understood how to do that now, but he'd never managed to explain to her that not thinking, for him, was as plausible a solution as not breathing. And yes, fine, this past week had been so utterly unpredictable that Rodney had spent a lot of time thinking what the hell and oh, god, please, no, but really, there was only so long that complete befuddlement was going to serve as a plausible distraction.

He was stuck in a cottage in the middle of Scotland with people he didn't know and one highly problematic lieutenant colonel and Carson wasn't even around to blame for it.

I might have read Touch, but I'm not sure. The other four I haven't read.

I've been active in SGA fandom in particular for over a year. I've been a Stargate fan since the original film, but I didn't get a chance to get into Atlantis until 2008, at which point I started lurking for a good long while. ^__^

Sometimes I feel like I've read everything already, but I'm really glad to be wrong about that!! :-D

Touch is my favorite astolat fic :P The others are fantastic too, of course, but that one never fails to make me smile.

Ahhh, I see. I came into the SGA fandom late, so I have this tendency to assume that everyone I come in contact with has been involved with SGA for years :P Therefore I was taken aback when you said you hadn't read most of these.

Also, I thought I should warn you: I've been looking over the list I put together, and the majority of fics I'm rec'ing are going to be long. I'm sorry?

I was the same way when I started becoming active in this fandom.

No need to apologize! I can get through about 60K in a day, so no worries. It's when they start creeping up to 100K that I may have to break them up strategically. ;-)
