Victors was very much a love it or hate it fic. Nevertheless, it hit SGA fandom at just the right time, in just the right way, to make it An Event. It inspired a number of follow up stories and art, podfics and meta all its own. I think that's what I'm trying to say about it being a watershed moment in fandom. It was just huge and a lot of people had a lot of very different feelings about it.

Re: John's Mom, yeah, Aphorism is about it for her being around in any way. If there's anything else out there, I don't recall it. I really need to get back to writing. The ideas are there; the motivation not so much.
